Admission Criteria Requirements

Normal Entry

  • A candidate with a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), “O” Level, IGCSE, or GCE with English, Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics can be admitted into the programme at year one. 

Mature Entry

Mature entry requirements to different levels of the Bachelor of Geological Engineering are as follows: 

Entry into Year 2:

  • A-Level with at least a C grade in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. But must attend and pass Drawing 1 and 2 and Resource Geology for Engineers module. 

Entry into Year 3:

  • Diploma in Geological/Mining/Metallurgy and Mineral Processing Engineering/Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/ Earth Science or;
  • Other related qualifications from a recognized institution of higher learning may be assessed by the Admissions Office.
