Welcome to the MUBAS Campus Clinic
A good university does not only focus on academic excellence but also recognizes the importance of the health and well-being of its community. Healthy students and staff contribute significantly to the overall productivity and success of any institution. In line with this, the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) has made health care a priority since its inception, establishing an on-campus clinic that provides essential medical services to its students and staff at no cost.
Our Mission
To promote and sustain the health and well-being of the MUBAS community by providing compassionate, holistic, and inclusive healthcare services.
Aim
We aim to empower individuals to achieve their full academic and personal potential by fostering a healthy lifestyle through education, prevention, and treatment.
Location and Hours of Operation
The campus clinic is conveniently located at the heart of MUBAS main campus. The Clinic opens at 8:00 am and closes at 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. It is closed on weekends and public holidays.
Services Offered
Our clinic offers a wide range of medical services to cater to the diverse needs of our students and staff:
- Primary Care: Routine check-ups, treatment for common illnesses, and referrals to specialists if necessary.
- Health Education: Workshops, seminars, and resources to promote health awareness, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Immunizations and Vaccinations: Providing essential vaccines to protect against infectious diseases and ensure a healthy campus community.
- Women's Health Services: Comprehensive gynecological care, family planning, and reproductive health services.
- Counseling and Mental Health Support: Confidential counseling services to support emotional and psychological well-being, ensuring a supportive environment for mental health.
- Emergency Care: Immediate attention and care for medical emergencies on campus.
- Sexual and Reproductive Health Services: This includes treatment and preventive measures for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The clinic provides diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and education to prevent STIs and promote sexual health awareness.
- Family Planning: The clinic offers a range of family planning options, including condoms and contraceptive methods
- HIV/AIDS Services: This include Voluntary HIV testing, HIV Self Testing kits and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP).

To enhance its capacity and improve the quality of services, the university clinic is in partnership with several organizations which have been helpful in supporting the clinic’s mission. Among others, these are:
- Ministry of Health under Blantyre District Health Office (DHO)
- Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF)
- Malawi Network of AIDS Service Organizations (MANASO)

Appointment Information
Appointments can be scheduled by contacting our clinic reception during working hours. Walk-in appointments are also available for urgent medical needs. We strive to accommodate everyone in a timely manner and provide comprehensive care to address health concerns.
