KWERA FOUNDATION donates 68 laptops to MUBAS students
On 7 October, 2026, Kwera Foundation donated 68 laptops to students at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) to support their studies in the increasingly digital learning environment.

Speaking during the handover ceremony which was held at MUBAS main campus, MUBAS Director of Students Affairs Dr.Gertrude Sitolo, expressed her appreciation to Kwera Foundation and its partners for the donation saying access to digital devices has become a necessity for university students.


Sitolo said nearly 500 MUBAS students are in need of gadgets, adding that some capable students struggle academically due to lack of digital devices such as smartphones and laptops. She further urged the students to take care of the laptops and use them to learn new skills.


Kwera representative Emmanuel Banda said the donation aims to assist students keep up with digital developments and improve their learning. He also urged the students to avoid misusing the laptops but only use it for academic purposes.


Apart from the laptops, the foundation also donated desktops to the university to be used in the university library.


One of the beneficiaries Oscar Makanjira, expressed gratitude saying the laptop will make his academic journey easier by helping him with assignments and other school-related projects.
