Programme Summary
The programme equips students with relevant knowledge and skills in structural engineering. Students learn relevant structural engineering software for the effective delivery of engineering solutions.
Admission Criteria Requirements
The selection of applicants is based upon consideration of individual academic achievement. In the case of mature entry candidates, work experience is needed.
Normal Entry
A candidate must have a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), “O” Level, IGCSE, or GCE with 6 credits that includes in English, Mathematics, Physical Science/General Science; or A-level with a grade of at least C in English, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
Mature Entry
Entry into Year 2:
- City and Guilds Advanced Diploma or its equivalent in Engineering
- At least 4 credits at MSCE that includes in English, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry
- Two years post qualification experience. Or
- Board of Governors Diploma or its equivalent in Engineering
- At least 6 credits at MSCE that includes in English, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry
- Two years post qualification experience.
Entry into Year 3:
- University Diploma in Civil Engineering
- At least 6 credits at MSCE that includes in English, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry
- Two years post qualification.
