Admission Criteria Requirements
The selection of applicants is based upon consideration of individual academic achievement. In the case of mature entry candidates, work experience is needed.
Normal Entry
Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), “O” Level, IGCSE, or GCE with six credits including English, Mathematics, Physical Science/General Science; or A-level with a grade of at least C in English, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
Mature Entry
1.Entry into year 2:
- City and Guilds Advanced Diploma or its equivalent in Engineering with at least 4 credits at MSCE that includes in English, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and two years post qualification experience or
- Board of Governors Diploma or its equivalent in Engineering with at least 6 credits at MSCE that includes in English, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and two years post qualification experience.
2. Entry into year 3:
- University Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 6 credits at MSCE that includes in English, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and two years post qualification experience.
