Programme Summary
Industrial Engineering (IE) is concerned with the design, improvement and installation of integrated systems of people, materials, information, equipment and energy. It draws upon specialized knowledge and skill in the mathematical, physical and social sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design to specify predict and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems.
Admission Criteria Requirements
Normal entry
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), “O” Level, IGCSE, or GCE English, Mathematics and Science (Physical Science, Physics or Chemistry).
Mature Entry
Entry into Year 2:
- A-Level with at least a C grade in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Drawing.
- City and Guilds Advanced Certificate
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in any field
- Two years of relevant experience.
Entry into Year 3:
- BSc in related engineering and science fields of Malawi Bachelor of Engineering Degree in (e.g. UNIMA Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Civil and Electrical), or Malawi Board of Governors Diploma programme in engineering
- At least two years of relevant experience
- The Admissions Office may assess other related qualifications from recognized institutions.
Entry into Year 4:
- BSc in relevant field of engineering and science.
- Other related qualification from recognised institutions may be assessed by the Admissions Office.
