Programme Summary

The programme equips students with skills in design and manufacturing plant systems, modelling and systems simulation, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of plant systems, business and entrepreneurship. Graduates undergo industrial attachment for one complete semester as part of the curriculum and students are not allowed without the practical attachments in the industry.

Admission Criteria Requirements

Normal entry 

• Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE), “O” Level, IGCSE, or GCE with 6 credits including English, Mathematics and Science (Physical Science, Physics or Chemistry). 

Mature entry

• An A Level qualification of a minimum grade of “C” in Physics, Chemistry and Drawing.
• Advanced Diploma in Engineering programs from a reputable institution. 
• At least2-year work experience
• Candidates with a BSc Degree in related Engineering Programs or Diploma in Engineering programs from a reputable institution or Malawi Board of Governors Diploma in Engineering fields with 2 years’ experience will be assessed by the admission office to determine their entry level/year.
