Master of Philosophy in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

The MPhil in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a research-oriented program that provides advanced training in areas such as power systems, electronics, telecommunications, and control engineering. It focuses on developing analytical, technical, and research skills through independent investigation of engineering problems. Graduates are prepared for careers in research, industry innovation, and further doctoral studies.

Admissions Criteria

Applicants must have any of the following engineering-related qualifications:

a. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a minimum of a credit in a relevant field.

b. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a strong pass and two years’ work experience in a relevant field.

c. An Honours degree from an accredited university with a minimum of second class in a relevant field.

d. An Honours degree from an accredited university with a third class and one-year work experience in a relevant field.

Duration and Tuition Fees

This is a two and half years, comprising of five semesters. Tuition fees for students from Malawi and other SADC (Southern African Development Community) countries are set at US$1,100.00per semester.
