The event celebrated the graduation of the programme's second cohort, reflecting the growing demand for executive-level leadership training among professionals from both the public and private sectors.
Speaking on behalf of the MDC Centre Manager, Dr. Ella Kangaude, Dr. Thokozani Madamuse congratulated the graduates for their dedication and commitment throughout the programme. She encouraged them to become agents of positive change within their respective institutions.
Dr. Madamuse emphasized that the programme was designed to bridge leadership and management gaps by equipping participants with practical skills to navigate today's complex and rapidly evolving work environment.
"The real value of this programme will be seen in how graduates apply what they have learned to improve performance, strengthen institutions, and contribute to national development," she said.
The Executive Management and Leadership Programme covered key areas including adaptive leadership, strategic management, governance and ethics, innovation, digital transformation, financial management, and talent development.
Delivering the keynote address, the Chief Executive Officer of FINCA Malawi, Mr. Charles Bello, challenged the graduates to translate the knowledge and skills they had acquired into meaningful impact within their organisations.
"I expect the graduates to apply the knowledge they have gained in their respective institutions and make a difference. The skills and insights acquired through this programme should be reflected in the way they lead, innovate, and contribute to organisational and national development," he said.
As the graduates return to their respective organisations, they carry with them not only certificates but also the responsibility to lead with integrity, innovation, and purpose. The Executive Management and Leadership Programme is one of several initiatives through which MUBAS continues to promote leadership excellence and professional development in Malawi.
