MUBAS Organizes Research Seminar for Post-Graduate Students
The seminar, which ran from 6-7 October, 2025 was designed to provide a supportive and interactive space for the students in the first steps of their academic journey.
The Head of Post-Graduate Department, Associate Professor Rhoda Bakuwa said the seminar was organized in order to enhance students’ research capacity.
Stanley Phiri, who has enrolled for Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering, said the seminar was an eye-opener.
“This seminar has provided insights on how we can conduct research in an ethical manner and also how we can use artificial intelligence in acceptable ways,’’ said Phiri.
The two-day seminar focused on research topic identification, development of research proposals - the golden thread rule, principles of academic writing, student–supervisor relationship, ethics in research, managing the research as a project, and facilitating timely completion.
