GIZ MIERA III Capacity Building Programme for MSMEs in Sustainable Building Materials - Call for Applications

The Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS), through its Business Incubation Centre (BIC), in partnership with GIZ and GOPA AFC under the More Income and Employment in Rural Areas (MIERA III) Programme, invites Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) operating in the sustainable building materials sector to express their interest in participating in the MIERA III Capacity Building Project. The initiative aims to strengthen the capacity, competitiveness, and sustainability of MSMEs involved in the production and processing of innovative and eco-friendly building materials.Objectives of the ProgrammeThe capacity building project under the GIZ MIERA III programme aims to:Enhance the technical, business, and management skills of MSMEs in the sustainable building materials sector;Promote market-oriented production and value addition;Encourage environmentally friendly and inclusive enterprise practices.Eligibility Criteria The business owner(s) must be a Malawian citizen;The business must be legally registered or in the process of being registered in Malawi;The business must operate within the sustainable building materials sector (e.g., bricks, tiles, cement substitutes, recycled materials, eco-housing technologies, carpentry, or related value chains);The business must have been operational for at least one year;Demonstrate commitment to participate in training and coaching sessions during the project period.Special consideration will be given to Women-led or Women-owned enterprises. Those that applied in the previous call should not reapply. How to apply:1.
