The Department of Mechanical Engineering is informing the general public that it will be offering the following City & Guilds Technician Diploma Programmes for the JANUARY - JUNE 2026 intake:

1. 7290-13 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles Level 3 at MK450,000.00
2. 2850-89 Diploma in Engineering-Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering Level 3 at MK450,000.00

Entry Requirements:

1. Minimum qualification is MSCE or equivalent with at least passes in Mathematics and Physical Science/General Science,
2. Candidates with at least a Grade 1 or 2 Malawi Trade Test Certificate in a related field are encouraged to apply.

General Information:

1. Tuition fee includes all required practical lessons and at least half of the fees have to be deposited when enrolling,
2. Candidates are required to pay examination fees to City & Guilds through the centre of the Institute of Continuing Education(ICE).
3. All courses are offered both weekdays and weekends and are on a non-residential basis,
4. Registration is in progress and classes will run from 19th JANUARY,2026 to 12th JUNE, 2026, exams shall be administered early JUNE, 2026.
5. All new students should pay a once-off, non-refundable registration fee of K10, 000.00, which should be deposited into the following National Bank current account: MUBAS, Account number: 433578,
6. Forms can be downloaded below or collected from MUBAS Main Campus, Mechanical Engineering Fabrication workshop (T6) or Motor Vehicle Workshop (T5).
7. Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
